Album music – Cali Menteur Mon, 20 Jun 2022 04:49:49 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Album music – Cali Menteur 32 32 Nils Frahm announces new Music for Animals album and tour dates Fri, 17 Jun 2022 16:07:00 +0000

Nils Frahm has a new album on the way. music for animals, the 14th solo album by the German composer/producer, will be released on September 23 via his own label LEITER. Today he shared a preview of the record with lead single “Right Right Right”, along with a long list of North American and European tour dates from 2022 to 2024.

Like much of Frahm’s work, music for animals is simplistic and meditative, while still feeling expansive and full-bodied. In three hours, it could belong to the category of music that Erik Satie dubbed “furniture music” – music that falls effortlessly in the background – though it’s still gorgeous enough to grab your attention if you let her. Pre-orders for physical copies are underway.

“My constant inspiration was something as mesmerizing as watching a large waterfall or the leaves of a tree in a storm,” Frahm wrote in a press release. “It’s good that we have symphonies and music where there is a development, but a waterfall doesn’t need an act 1, 2, 3, then a denouement, not more than the leaves of a tree in a storm. Some people like to watch the leaves rustle and the branches move. This record is for them.

“Right Right Right” perfectly embodies this feeling. Featuring Frahm’s signature blend of house and classical music, the track is mostly synth chords that appear and disappear continuously, backed by a hypnotic, punchy beat.

Frahm’s tour begins with a three-night run in his hometown of Berlin. After making stops in Europe for the rest of 2022, he will start the North American leg in March 2023 in Montreal. From there he will visit cities like Brooklyn, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Toronto and Los Angeles throughout the month. Then, in July 2024, he will play a four-night residency at the Barbican in London. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. local time; get yours and check the presale information on Ticketmaster.

BTS star Suga is ‘working hard’ on a solo album E! News UK Thu, 16 Jun 2022 11:27:45 +0000

Suga is “working hard” on his upcoming solo album.

The BTS rapper – who released his second mixtape ‘D-2’ in May 2020 – revealed that he is gearing up for his next project, noting that he wants to promote his work through “the same system regular groups do. when they promote and have a debut single and a B-side”.

He told Weverse Magazine, “Ah, what should I do? I’m hard at work on a follow-up to ‘D-2’.”

The star insisted he wanted to continue making music and not be tied to any specific genre.

He explained, “I also tried songs in different styles on ‘D-2’.

“I feel like I might not be able to become the master of a genre, but I can wear many hats… There’s still so much I want to do.

“I have no idea what kind of music I’m going to make in my 30s, 40s or 50s, but I want to keep making music until the day I die.”

The 29-year-old star’s comments come after he and his BTS bandmates confirmed they were on a “temporary hiatus”.

Suga – along with Septet Jin, 29, J-Hope, 28, RM, 27, V, 26, Jimin, 26, and Jungkook, 24 – broke the news of their hiatus to their armies of fans during their annual FESTA dinner which celebrated nine years of the hugely popular band.

RM said it was time for them to work on their own, adding, “I always thought BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t. don’t give you time to mature. .

“You have to keep producing music and keep doing something.”

J-Hope said, “I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again. I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger this way.

V insisted they weren’t breaking up and vowed that “the group’s synergy will be like no other” when they reunite.

Post Malone would love to do a country album – Music News Wed, 15 Jun 2022 09:18:04 +0000

Post Malone would like to release a country album.

“I have the right to do this, I am a human being.”

Twenty years after releasing MUSIC INSPIRED BY MIDDLE EARTH, David Arkenstone releases Volume II, to the delight of his Arkenfans

5-time GRAMMY® nominee and currently 2-time SAMA nominee, renowned music composer and fan of the fantasy world and the works of JRR Tolkien, David Arkenstone announces the release of his

Appealing to JRR Tolkien lovers and cinematic music fans of all ages, the new album is a musical interpretation of the stories from the #LOTR books; it is available in CD, digital download and streaming formats worldwide.

David Arkenstone, 5-time GRAMMY® nominated and 2-time SAMA nominated music composer, releases Vol II of his Middle-earth soundscapes twenty years after Volume I.

The first Inspired by Middle Earth was an intimidating album to make… It’s kind of like painting on a canvas… My goal was to make music that reflected how I felt about the words and stories of Tolkien.

—David Arkenstone

LOS ANGELES, California, USA, June 10, 2022 / — Today David Arkenstone releases MUSIC INSPIRED BY MIDDLE EARTH, VOL II (QDV), a Lord of the Rings-inspired journey featuring 14 original compositions which showcase Arkenstone’s music range of impressive composition from mellow orchestras to soothing soundscapes and epic cinematic anthems. Currently occupying the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s best-selling new releases in its category, this album comes almost exactly 20 years after Music Inspired by Middle Earth, Vol. I, a bestseller in Arkenstone’s vast discography. Appealing to JRR Tolkien fans and cinematic music fans of all ages, the album is available in CD, digital download and streaming formats worldwide, including Bandcamp, with vinyl expected in the coming months.

The album’s lead singles and videos included the soothing ‘The Houses of Healing’, the thrilling epic ‘Shadowfax and the White Rider’ and now ‘Daughter of the River’, a soothing and elegant ode to the mysterious character of the author JRR Tolkien Goldberry. Arkenstone uses a melodious harp, flutes and the wordless dreamy voice of singer Jillian Aversa to craft a moving, watery tribute to Goldberry’s story of being a river spirit of the Withywindle, a tributary of the Brandywine River.

“The first Inspired by Middle Earth was an intimidating album to make,” says Arkenstone. “The way I created the first album – and now Volume II – was to choose elements of the story that I wanted to illuminate musically, then close my eyes, place the instruments in front of me – guitar, keyboard, flute, pennywhistle – and then experimenting with putting sounds together, like a form of impressionism,” says Arkenstone. “It’s a bit like painting on a canvas. Not all the melodies came out instantly, but my goal was always to make music that I think reflects how I felt about Tolkien’s words and stories.

While music fans naturally want to compare the first volume of any series with the next, JWVibe music critic Jonathan Widran says there’s no need to do so with these two big hits on the Middle Earth. “Vol. 1 and Vol. II are equally inspired masterpieces, perfectly complementary to each other,” he wrote, “illustrating different facets of Tolkien’s mythological world and telling an original story in a unique way. new and stylistically diverse – as only a musical imagination as fertile as Arkenstone’s can”.

Fans of Hans Zimmer or Vangelis soundtracks will appreciate the dramatic compositions in Music Inspired by Middle Earth, Vol. II. “The Shadow of the Past” opens the album by setting the mood and introducing Arkenstone’s general musical impressions of the story, followed by lively Celtic-style dancing featuring pennywhistle, concertina and the playful violin of Luanne Homzy, at “The Green Dragon”, a pub where Hobbits hang out. A mystical chorale and harp/flute track conveys “Caras Galadhon”, one of the most magical places in Middle-earth, while organic and percussive sound effects take us to “Fangorn Forest” and the spooky march and disturbing in “Minas Morgul”, one of the most dangerous places in Mordor. “The Returning” (with choir, English horn and harp) is a thoughtful, hard-hitting and sweeping finale.

Arkenstone is expected to announce a series of live concert dates in support of the album in summer/fall 2022, and his growing Arkenfan community may be the first to hear the news. Wanting to connect more directly with his fans, David recently created the Free Private Membership Community to provide early access to new music, live streams, news and exclusive giveaways.

PSY’s epic track “That That,” which the legendary actor collaborated on with BTS’ Suga, has just been released. The song instantly went viral and netizens can’t get enough of the catchy and funny duet between two legendary musicians. Suga has been releasing songs regularly for several years, either with BTS or other artists, while PSY hasn’t released an album for over five years.

PSY, on the other hand, was pretty busy. PSY shifted its focus elsewhere after the release of 4X2=8 in 2017, when it formed its label P NATION. PSY has dedicated its efforts to helping its artists, including Jessi, HyunA, DAWN, and others, since the beginning of 2019.

After years of helping others, it seems like he’s finally been inspired to make new music, and it’s all thanks to Suga! PSY sat down with Billboard recently and talked about everything from creating the song to connecting with the members of BTS, among other topics. PSY revealed that he had been satisfied for two years as the manager of his P NATION musicians, but that all changed when Suga approached him and told him he had a track he wanted to produce.

Working with Suga seems to rekindle PSY’s desire to play his own music if that wasn’t enough. He went on to say that the creative process had such an impact on him that he was encouraged to write even more tracks the following month. Suga’s youth and attitude, according to PSY, were crucial to the writing process and had the biggest impact on him. Despite the fact that PSY is older than Suga, the writing process seemed to solidify their connection. Along with working on the song, they seemed to build a bond based on their mutual love of music, which made things much easier.

The 1975 Confirm Next Album, Music Coming July Wed, 01 Jun 2022 14:34:00 +0000

It’s been a little over two years since the 1975 release Notes on a conditional form, their latest album. This disc was released at the start of the pandemic, which forced the band to postpone the tour they had planned. That tour was supposed to take place last year, but the band later canceled that tour, saying they wanted to “until we’re sure we can play shows in a way that’s safe for our fans and our crew”. In that same announcement, 1975 claimed they were “in the process of making a new album.” It looks like we’ll be hearing at least part of this new album in just over a month.

As Twitter users have noted, posters for the 1975s have started popping up in London’s Shoreditch area. These posters have a cryptic image and a date: July 7th. There are also other activity indicators. As this Reddit thread points out, 1975 have changed their logo on Spotify and Facebook. (Twitter too.) In April, the DORK website, keeping a close eye on Instagram Stories, reported that the band were likely filming a video in Kent. Also in April, 1975s manager Jamie Oborne tweeted: “The new album is the most real”.

Additionally, someone else on Reddit posted that Lorde recently left a comment on 1975 frontman Matty Healy’s Instagram: “My txts aren’t going through.” It has since been deleted. This could be a tease of some sort of collaboration, or it could just mean that Lorde and Healy wanted to compare notes on onion rings or whatever.

Since Notes on a conditional formthe 1975s collaborated with No Rome and Charli XCX on the single “Spinning”, and Matty Healy and George Daniel produced beabadoobee’s Our extended game PE. Last October, Matty Healy played a surprise acoustic solo set in Los Angeles, opening for Phoebe Bridgers, the artist who was to open the canceled 1975 tour in 2020. At that show, Healy debuted two new songs.

Avril Lavigne wants to release a Christmas cookbook and album – Music News Tue, 31 May 2022 17:50:38 +0000

The 37-year-old musician – who is engaged to fellow rocker Mod Sun – has revealed she wants to publish a book of her ‘gourmet’ recipes, drop a make-up line and even record a Christmas album.

“I can do anything! Pasta, sauce, vegan, salads and soups – I can do all kinds of soups.

The “Complicated” singer has come a long way since being fired from her job at a fried chicken shop.

Avril admits it’s surreal that her seminal debut album, 2002’s “Let Go,” resonated so much and catapulted her to fame, because it’s simply about her “small-town life and obsession with skater boys” in adolescence.

She said: “I wrote this album right out of high school and now I hear these lyrics from me about my small town and my obsession with skater boys.

“Even things like in ‘My World’, I literally talk about how I got fired by some ‘fried chicken ass’ who I worked for at a fried chicken chain. It’s hilarious. I think back to those lyrics and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I said that in a song.

Meanwhile, Avril recently revealed she would love to work with Taylor Swift after the ‘Love Story’ singer sent her congratulatory flowers for her comeback album.

She said: “I mean, Taylor is amazing! Anything can happen. I’m down [for a collaboration]! She’s lovely. When my album came out, she sent flowers and a sweet note saying she loved the new album.”

“I’m finishing the new album now; I shot so many visuals for that. I don’t want to be cliché or sound like a salesman, but I pushed myself to the limit of everything. Going from that industrial, subversive sound of ‘Testing’ and then moving on to a more polished sound… I just like where it is.

In the high-profile chat, the “Everyday” rapper also opened up about parenthood and his hopes and dreams for his offspring.

The couple get married and share a kiss in the promo.
