DJ Khaled sheds tears of joy.

A few days before the release of his new album God made, the hip-hop mogul revealed the artwork. In the moving photo, taken by Lougè, Khaled looks up as a tear rolls down his right eye.

“The tear represents the tears of joy of God’s blessings GOD, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!” he explained. “I am grateful for everything and for EVERYTHING. Thank you God for blessing my family, friends and fans. When no one believed, YOU DID IT! I praise you daily. We are here to do GOD’S WORK!! »

Khaled’s 13th studio album, God madearrives Friday with single “Staying Alive” featuring Drake and Lil Baby, plus appearances from Kanye West, Roddy Ricch, 21 Savage, Future and Vory.

During his appearance on “Drink Champs”, Khaled Explain how he came up with the title of the album.

“I was on the phone and someone was telling me something. While they were telling me, I kept looking at it. You know how you look at the phone like, ‘What is this person? said?’ Then I was like, ‘Let me call you back.’ I hung up and put it back down, had my head down for a minute,” he recalled. “I was really disappointed. I was like, ‘Damn, they don’t believe in us.’ Then immediately I was like, “God did it!” That’s what God said, ‘Khaled, keep your head up. Do not stop.

God made will also feature a collaboration with JAY-Z, who appears on a track with other unnamed artists. “He kicked down the doors for us to do what we were doing. I’m a next level fan,” Khaled said of Hov. “[He’s] someone you can call [about] anything and he will listen to you. All I have to say about Hov on my album: Hov did it.
