Gary Barlow will follow in the footsteps of his bandmate Take That, Robbie Williams, releasing a Christmas album.
The 50-year-old singer is reportedly gearing up to release a Christmas record in a bid to win the festive number one this year, two years after Robbie, 47, topped the UK official rankings with “The Christmas Present”.
A source told The Sun’s Weird column, “Gary has seen people like Michael Buble and Robbie Williams be successful this Christmas and wants to be in on the action.
“After a few years that were so difficult for all of us, he can’t wait to pull out the bag for his fans and end 2021 on a high note. In addition to his tour with Leona, Gary is releasing his own line of wines and this album – it will really be like Christmas has come early.
Gary, who released the single “Incredible Christmas” last year, faces stiff competition, as Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran are also set to release their festive duo.
Meanwhile, the hitmaker ‘Rule the World’ has just launched his own line of wines with Benchmark Drinks.
Gary Barlow Organic was designed and developed by hitmaker ‘Patience’ over the past two years with blends originating in Spain.
The mid-bodied red and tangy white both feature distinctive packaging with a piano key design a nod to Gary’s musical achievements.
And the music star couldn’t be more “proud” of his new venture.
He said: “The definition of a good night for me are friends, laughter and good wine. I have been fortunate to have traveled and experienced different cultures over the years and wines from all over the world. After months of learning the process and tasting different blends, I am very proud to now launch my own line of organic wines from Spain.
Gary is also set to embark on the “Music Played By Humans” tour in November, which will see him joined by special guest Leona Lewis.
The orchestral performances have been delayed from last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will now begin on November 27 in Belfast.
