Morrison Hotel Gallery Preps ‘1971’ album cover exhibition

This year marks the 50th anniversary of many landmark albums, from Joni Mitchell’s Blue at Marvin Gaye What is happening at John Lennon To imagine. So it’s fitting that the Morrison Hotel – a gallery co-founded by Henry Diltz specializing in rock photography – celebrates these classics with a new exhibition.

1971: the golden age of rock & roll will arrive at gallery locations in New York and Los Angeles starting October 28. Album covers by David Montgomery, Guy Webster and Ethan Russell will be featured, including the Doors’ Wife, Janis Joplin pearl, the who is Who is next, and more.

A reception will be held in New York on Opening Night, October 28, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. More information about the fully vaccinated event can be found here.
