Selena Gomez was ‘ashamed’ of her sexualized album cover

Selena Gomez has become one of the most popular singers and celebrities in the country today.

Gomez made her Disney Channel debut playing the role of Gwen in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and in some episodes of Hanna Montana. Then she got her big break playing the role of Alex Russo in the hit Disney Channel Original series. the Wizards of Waverly Place.

Following his run the Wizards of Waverly Place, Gomez would go on to make a few cameos on select Disney Channel shows before he began to focus on his music. She continued to make appearances in some TV shows and movies, including the Hulu series. Only murders in the building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short.

During a panel discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, Gomez revealed that at one point in her career, she was ashamed of her appearance.

“I actually did an album cover and I was really ashamed after I did it,” she said. “I had to get over those feelings because I realized it had to do with something deeper that was going on. And that’s a choice I wasn’t necessarily happy I made, but I think I tried my best, at least I try to be myself.

However, over time, Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend says she learns to be herself and do things for herself rather than worrying about what other people think, which has helped his mental health.

“I’m not an overly sexual person,” she explained. “Sometimes I like to feel sexy, but that doesn’t mean it’s for someone else. It may be for me.

As for his music career, Gomez went on to have nine songs on the Billboard Top 100 Charts in Adult Contemporary, including “Lose You To Love Me”, “We Don’t Talk Anymore”, “It Ain’t Me, “Back to You”, “The Heart Wants What It Wants”, “The Same Old Love”, “Hands to Myself”, “Who Said”, “Come and Take It”.
